About Wix Karma onboarding program

What started in 2022 as a pilot for SPM22 students has evolved into a core initiative for our Product & UX guilds. Every new hire now receives a "Karma Assignment" to build a website for an NGO. We drew on Wix’s traditional onboarding task but gave it a social twist.

This program meets two strategic needs: it allows new employees to experience the "user journey" firsthand, gaining product intimacy and providing fresh feedback, while supporting NGOs that lack the resources to build high-quality sites independently.

Our team works all year long with NGOs to prepare excellent briefs, so our employees can focus on getting to know our products well, show their talent and make an impact from day one at the office
